Chinese Rice Soup – My Favorite

My all time favorite Chinese breakfast food is … rice soup. This one is special. Rice soup base is one of the easiest things in the world to make. You boil rice and keep adding water and keep stirring. After an hour all the rice is broken and the soup is thick. There are an endless variety of rice soups made with this basic stock. Century adds boiled chicken and ginger in a perfect combination.

I am not sure if this is one of Tom Lau’s inventions or not. I have never seen anything close to this except in Vietnam. That was a breakfast food made with tiny dried shrimp. Try the delicious black sauce with this made from a secret family recipe.
