There is a fantastic array of Hot foods all the time at the Century Cafe. For Americans this will most likely be a new experience. Personally having grown up on Spaghetti from Cans and frozen TV dinners this food seemed like it was from another world. It was.

    My absolute favorite breakfast treats are:

    1. shrimp noodle (ha-churn)
    2. steamed lotus wrapped sticky rice filled with dried shrimp shitaki mushrooms, duck sausage and dried chestnut (nor-my-gai)
    3. buttery custard filled bread with a sweet crusty topping (ka-yern-bao)
    4. warm sweet soy milk
